Anyone who is going through something which is disturbing him or her can bring sanity back by doing this. If you’re stressed, disturbed, tense, angry, jealous, etc. and you know from your own experience that this is trouble then sit on a chair with your spine straight, start taking deep breaths, inhaling slowly and exhaling slowly. Focus your eyes between the centre of your eyebrows.
Let the breathing be slow and not fast, and after inhaling try to hold for three-six seconds. Exhale even slower than you have inhaled and once you have exhaled out completely wait for one second to start inhaling again. By the time you reach the third breath, you will analyse this gap of one second just before you start inhaling again is where you experience the peace within. Gradually, you will start enjoying this rush of energy within. This is where all your toxins get flushed out from your mind and it takes a fresh start. Your mind will know when it has calmed down and after you open your eyes, you shall feel very quiet inside. Enjoy the bliss.
It will calm you down to a level that you can feel settled and cheerful inside. You can do it in your home or your office or while traveling, because these thoughts can come anytime. And once they come, we start playing with them. At the end of the process, in our thoughts, we have reached a boiling point which starts churning out negativity within us. So first of all, don’t play with negative thoughts and if you have already started then do this breathing exercise.
If you practice this everyday even if it is to a count of ten breaths, you will notice, gradually, you will develop more patience inside and you learn to forgive situations, people and even yourself, easily.
